Becca

Rebecca Andrews is a Doctor of Chinese Medicine, owner and principal practitioner at Cloud Gate Acupuncture, Highton Geelong. Becca holds a Bachelor of Health Science (Acupuncture) is registered with ATMS and AHPRA and also completed clinical studies in China at Guang Xi No 1. Hospital.

She has 17 years clinical experience and continued professional development in the areas of: Classical acupuncture as taught by Ann Cecil Sterman, 5 element acupuncture, channel + point dynamics.

Acupuncture is her favourite treatment tool, but moxibustion a close second. She has extensive experience in working with patients who suffer from chronic stress, burnout, fatigue and overwhelm. Menstrual issues and irregularities, painful periods, pms, pmdd, anxiety, endo and pelvic pain and both acute and chronic pain management/ resolution.

She runs seasonal community offerings such as re:st and re:cover and Nourish & Let Go which see her in the role of facilitating holistic health education, somatic practice, community conversation and support to embody taoist medicinal principals as lifestyle medicine.

Her own personal embodiment practice is informed by many years of yoga, motherhood, Qi Gong & Tai Qi, Japanese tea ceremony in the Ueda Soko tradition and Zazen.

In the Advanced Yin training, Becca focuses on demystifying Daoist perspectives and practices; exploring the internal Yin arts and how they are gateways to embodiment, awareness, peace, liberation and health. ⠀

Hugh

Hugh is a fully qualified and experienced Yoga Teacher, a graduate of the Advanced Diploma of Yoga Teaching (2 year, 1000 hour fully accredited course founder Leigh Blashki) from the CAE (Centre for Adult Education) Melbourne. He began teaching in 2008, assisting and co-teaching Andrew Mournehis on Yoga retreats in India, Bali and Australia. In 2013, Hugh trained in Yin Yoga with Paul and Suzee Grilley (100 hours Level one) and in 2015 trained with Sarah Powers “Insight Yoga” Yin Teacher Training (60 hours). 

Hugh came to Yoga & Meditation to heal from suffering two decades of depression and anxiety. He no longer suffers from depression episodes, which has inspired him to become a lifelong student of Yin Yoga and Meditation which he finds deeply healing, replenishing and nourishing.  

You will find Hugh’s Yin classes and Yin Training’s focus on practical pragmatic tools we can use for healing body, mind and spirit. He is very passionate about Chinese Medicine and Mindfulness Meditation which he uses as a tool for healing from adrenal fatigue, digestive issues and anxiety.  Hugh is based in Torquay, he facilitates Yin Trainings around Australia and teaches Yin Yoga at studios in Geelong and Torquay, he is also available for private one-on-one Yoga tuition.
